Burnout Goes Gold

Both Burnout games (Revenge and Legends) have both gone gold today, and are both getting reading for the 13th Sep release date. If you haven’t noticed I’m really looking forward to both of these games. Lets just hope that Burnout Legends arrives before 23 Sep ;) (More on that in tonights Podcast)

A couple of days ago Street Fighter Zero 3 for the PSP was announced, and now there is a website (in Japanese). Still I can’t wait to get into some old school gaming on my beautiful widescreen PSP.

Fired Up Map Pack

yourPSP Downloads Now Up

yourPSP download section is now up. And it is a lot like PSPDrive. Basically you hook up your PSP to the USB cable, then download away. Of course you have to register your PSP, but its looking pretty cool at the moment.

PSP Sales Aren’t That Bad…

… Well in the U.K anyway. The PSP has sold over 185,000 units in its first week there. And has 9 of the top 10 games for the week. In fact 20 out of the 24 launch titles are in the Top 50. For the whole list see source.

DS vs PSP: The figures

Here is a great comparision between the DS and PSP sales for everyweek since release. Of course this is only Japan sales, but the DS is going strong.
YTD DS has sold 321,830 more than PSP.
LTD DS has sold 1,326,175 more than PSP.

PSP Charging for Downloads?

At the Game Developers Conference Europe, Phil Harrison has told Edge magazine that the Wipeout Pure downloads were only a test, and next year we will be seeing Premium content which will be pay for download. This really sucks because one of the best features of Wipeout was the ability to download extra content.
