Hey, great show, i would just like to give you my opinion on the external hd-dvd for xbox 360, i think that the external drive will probably make use of some of the usb’s ports on the actual console itself, but more to the matter, games require a high amount of revolutions per secound to run properly on a console, so by the time hd-dvd gets up to the high speed required, which i would estimate at 24x onwards, the next-next gen games consoles will more likely but near to release, and if they really needed the extra space that bad, they could release games on multiple disc’s i would not mind that much. I remember playing panzer dragoon saga on sega saturn and it was around 4 discs and it was one of the best games i have player ever. Or they could even take a pc approach to it and install some part of the game on the hard drive, i know some people out there will not have a hard drive, but most of the people i have spoken too have bought a core console and then decided to buy a hard drive extra cause they dont want to miss out on all the features that the hard drive offers, any way, my point is if the person wanted the game really badly he would find a way to get the hard drive, and most games that might take the install approach would probably be for a hardcore gamer.
I got my premium 360 the day it came out and all the games i have played so far on it are unbeleivable and they were only on a single dvd-9 disc.
So in conclusion i do hope that the bring out the external hd-dvd drive, cause i have forked out enough money for the console, high def tv etc and i do not want to pay alot of money for a hd-dvd player wen i can get a add-on for maybe half the price. thank you for your time.

Thats a great point that you will be a HD-DVD player for the half the price. Regarding the hard-drive install, I think this is something that developers thought about, but because of the two different systems they won’t do it.
I still believe Sony will have an advantage in the long run though, because of there use of Blu-Ray for games and movies.

Well, you have a point there but now with the news that xbox 360 may support a blu-ray player if hd-dvd does not succeed. So i don’t know what to think now.
BTW i recently installed the final fantasy xi european beta, and it kinda put me off the install. IT TOOK 1HR TO INSTALL THE GAME, then 1HR TO DOWNLOAD AN UPDATE.
