Xbox 360 HD-DVD?
Now take this with a grain of salt, but according to “someone” who posted on wikipedia, the Xbox 360 will be HD-DVD. Just not straight away. Heres the quote.
“On November 25th the Xbox 360 will be upgraded to HD-DVD in the Premium Version only. This can easily be seen by the different drives in the core system and the premium system. The Core System will be released a few weeks earlier than the HD-DVD premium version. HD-DVD version comes out November 25th.”
Again take this as a rumor, still interesting though.

no, as opposed to regular dvd standard, xbox 360 will be shipping with a standard dvd player only. It is more likely microsoft will go hd than bluray as bluray is owned/developed primarly by sony. However the dates in this post seem a little to soon. Intresting post by the way,i loved the Double Dragon series and weird retro news their.

This might make sense since HD-DVD and DVD are real close in architechture. A simple firmware upgrad could make Xbox 360 owerners smile :)
